Refunds

If a swimmer joins the swim team, but by July 15 has not swam with the team, then the full registration fee will be refunded.

If a swimmer joins the swim team and swims with the team, but stops by July 15, the registration fee less 25% will be refunded.

Absolutely no refunds will be given after July 15 for any reason, including medical reasons.

Swimming requirement

In order to be able to be a member of the Colby Sailfish a swimmer should have Swim Kids Five or the equivalent and must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted.

Swim Meets

Colby Sailfish swimmers must participate in two (2) swim meets (not including time trials) in order to be able to swim with the team the following year.

Meet warm-up times set by the hosting team are to be strictly adhered to by all team members. If a swimmer misses warm up, they can be prevented from swimming for that meet.

Team members should check with the coaches prior to leaving a meet. Should it become necessary for a swimmer to leave a meet early, his/her coach must be notified.

Team members and parents are expected to display respect and good sportmanship toward coaches, officials, teammates and fellow competitors.

Group Placement

Placement of swimmers in the gold, silver or bronze swimming groups is at the discretion of the head coach with input from the assistant coach(s).

Provincials

Choice of events that each swimmer will swim at provincials is at the discretion of the head coach with input from the assistant coach(s) and the swimmer.

Registration Fees

There are two options for payment of registration fees. Payment can be made in full upon registration or half can be paid upon registration and a second cheque can be submitted at the time of registration post-dated for July 15. Payment options include cash, cheque or credit card (2.75% fee).

Multiple Swimmer Family Discount

Families pay full registration fees for the first two children. There is a 50% discount for the registration fee for the third child. Subsequent children are free. The maximum fundraising fee per family is $150.
